| The following is a brief look at some of the projects that CS&S has designed, engineered, built and installed. |

This picture is 1 of 2 Cinncinatti 25-10-12 Hydroforming Press that CS&S was involved in completely refurbishing. The hydraulic motors and pumps were rebuilt. Added electronic proportional valves with swashplates to control motor pressure. Hydraulic filterization was re-worked and filters added to assure clean fluids through-out the system. Pneumatic controls used to adjust pressure and all plumbing was removed and replaced with new electronic air pressure transducers. Installed Linear Velocity Distance Transducer (LVDT) for monitoring chamber position. All wiring and old electronics was removed, the control panel and electrical panel was completely gutted. Retrofitted the controls with new GE Automation PLC. Added light curtains, guards, safety switches, and operating lights to limit access to the chamber. Installed GE's QuickPanel Man Machine Interface (MMI) touchscreen and wrote operator and maintenance screens. |
|
The construction of the table consisted of heavy quaged steel frame, and 80/20 extrusion with polycarbonate enclosure. The test fixture was designed with quide pins. CS&S programmed an Ohmmeter, Hypot Tester and a Part Engraver, which all three had their own communication issues (GPIB, RS232, ) to interface with an Allen Bradley PLC portocal. The HMI we provided was a PC base system with operator screens written in Visual Basic.

The three pictures to the left is from a project in which our Customer spec'd the control and CS&S designed, engineered, built, and programmed the control. The cabinet was custom made and was designed so that the motors and power cables would be stored in the enclosure (side view) for portability. The control system is a GE Fanuc 210i 2-Axis Lathe Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and GE Fanuc Alpha Series Servo package. |
|
| This is another portable 2-Axis Lathe CNC except with a GE Fanuc 21i and Alpha Series Servo system. Once again the cabinet was modified to house the motor and power cables. The last picture are the 2-Axis slides we interfaced the control too. |

This cabinet was designed and built for a Data Acquisition system with the control on one side and main power on the other to meet the Customer space constrants. The control of choice was Allen Bradley's SLC500 series Program Logic Controller (PLC). The operator interface is a PC and the screens where written with Wonderware software. The control program was written with Visual Basic software. |
